LogicCommons Privacy Policy

Effective date: (effective on launch)

LogicCommons is operated by Pagos, Inc. ("Pagos", "we", "us"), 75 Second Avenue Suite 605, Needham, MA 02494, USA. This policy applies to logiccommons.com and its subdomains (including mcp.logiccommons.com, the machine-access endpoint) and describes what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It does not apply to other Pagos websites or products, which carry their own policies.

The short version

You can use every calculator on LogicCommons without an account and without giving us any personal information. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for marketing without your opt-in consent, and LogicCommons carries no advertising and sets no tracking cookies. Usage statistics are measured anonymously, without cookies.

What we collect

Calculator inputs. The numbers and selections you enter into a calculator are sent to our servers to compute results. They are cached (so identical calculations are fast) and logged for abuse prevention, capacity planning, and aggregate usage statistics. Calculator inputs are not linked to your identity, and we ask that you do not enter personal information into calculator fields; the tools neither need nor expect it.

Automatic technical data. Like most websites, our operational systems log IP address, browser or API-client identifier, pages or endpoints requested, and timestamps. For the machine-access endpoint, we log the connecting client software's self-reported identity. We use these operational logs for security, rate limiting, capacity planning, and debugging; they are not the source used for routine product-usage reports.

Feedback form. If you submit feedback, we collect the optional email address and message you provide, used solely to review your feedback, improve the relevant calculator, and reply if appropriate. Submissions are moderated. Providing feedback is voluntary; you must be 18 or older to submit the form.

Cookies and usage measurement. LogicCommons displays no advertising and sets no advertising, analytics, or other tracking cookies; any cookies used are strictly essential to site operation (for example, security and load-balancing). We collect a limited set of first-party usage events in our own Azure environment, including page views, sanitized referrers, calculator engagement, feedback submission counts, and clicks to the SpreadsheetWeb site. We do not send these events to an external analytics provider, and the records contain no advertising identifier, account identifier, calculator input, feedback content, email address, IP address, user agent, query string, or fragment.

For a browser tab, a cryptographically random value is kept only in session storage. Before an event is recorded, our server replaces it with a one-way identifier scoped to that UTC day; it cannot be used to follow a browser across days. We also use Google Search Console data about search queries that lead people to the site. Because no non-essential cookies exist, no consent banner is shown. If advertising or tracking technologies are ever introduced, this policy will be updated first, with notice, and consent will be requested where required.

What we do not collect. No accounts exist on LogicCommons today, so we hold no passwords, no payment information, and no profile data. See the Accounts Addendum below, which takes effect only if and when community features launch.

How we use information

To operate, secure, and improve the service; to compute and cache calculator results; to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse; to measure aggregate usage (including which calculators are used, by which channels, human or machine); to respond to feedback; and to comply with law.

Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with: service providers that help us operate (cloud hosting and email delivery), bound to use it solely to provide those services; authorities where we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or in cooperation with a governmental investigation; and a successor entity in a merger, reorganization, or sale of the assets to which this site relates.

State privacy rights

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we set no tracking cookies to opt out of. We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal for any applicable opt-out rights.

Retention and deletion

Personal information is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes above and legal obligations. Feedback submissions are retained 12 months after resolution. Raw first-party structured usage events are retained for no more than 30 days; afterward we keep only daily aggregate metrics. Other technical logs are retained for up to 90 days except aggregated statistics, which are not personal information. You may request deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@logiccommons.com. We will act on verified requests unless retention is legally required.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, credential vaulting, and least-privilege access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The calculators collect no personal information and may be used by students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the feedback form (and, in the future, accounts) are for users 18 and older. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International use; EU and Swiss visitors

This site is operated from the United States, and information is processed in the U.S. Pagos complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce; the certification is held at the company level and covers Pagos's products and sites, including LogicCommons. EU and Swiss individuals may contact us at the address above regarding access, correction, or complaints; unresolved DPF complaints may be referred to BBB National Programs (bbbprograms.org/dpf-complaints), free of charge, and binding arbitration may be available for residual claims. We acknowledge individuals' rights to access, update, and correct their personal data, and our potential liability for onward transfers to agent third parties as provided by the Frameworks. We may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities.

Accounts Addendum: not yet in effect

This addendum takes effect, with notice, only when community features launch; until then, no accounts exist. When accounts launch, we will additionally collect: account credentials (Google sign-in or verified email); ratings and reviews you post, displayed publicly with your chosen name; and, for editor applicants, the public LinkedIn profile URL you submit, which our staff review manually to assess professional expertise. If approved and you choose anonymity, we display only a generalized credential description (for example, "PhD, Electrical Engineering; 10+ years in power systems") and never your employer's name. Application records are retained 24 months; outcome notifications are transactional email, not marketing.

Changes and contact

We will post updates here with a new effective date and, for material changes, a notice on the site. Questions: privacy@logiccommons.com or Pagos, Inc., 75 Second Avenue Suite 605, Needham, MA 02494, Attn: Privacy Policy.
